摘要 The invention relates to a method for positioning engraving organs (3) in an electronic engraving machine for rotogravure printing cylinder (1) engraving wherein at least two adjacent lying engraving areas of selected widths (SB) are engraved with an engraving organ (3) respectively assigned thereto. Axial reference positions (RP) are selected for the engraving organs (3), whose axial distances to each other correspond to the selected widths (SB) of the engraving areas (SB) that are to be engraved. An electronic position measuring device (20,21,22), consisting essentially of a video camera (21) and an image evaluation level (22), is successively placed on the axial reference positions (RP). At each reference position, the axial divergence of the tip of the burin pertaining to the appropriate engraving organ (3) or the divergence of at least one cup which is test engraved by the engraving organ (3) from the reference position (RP) is determined using the position measuring device (20,21,22). The engraving organs (3) are then automatically shifted according to the chosen divergences and placed exactly on the reference positions (RP).
