The hook is in the form of an open ring (1) with two ends facing each other (2,3) and separated by the opening (4). One closing finger (5) pivots in an inward direction (8) to open, whilst the other closing finger (9) pivots in an outward direction (12) to open. Both closing fingers are constrained by their method of mounting (6,10), onto the end (2) of the ring, to automatically close onto the other end (3) of the ring.
