Device for perforating outer sheath of electrical cables for test purposes

The outer sheath (AH) of a cable (AD) is perforated by a heating device consisting of at least one electrically heated wire (HD) mounted on a moving structure. The cable is guided over the structure and the outer sheath (AH) is perforated by the heat given off by the wire. The heating wires (HD) are carried between two discs (SC1,SC2) and spaced parallel to each other and to the axis of rotation (DA) of the discs. They form a drum across which the cable (AD) is passed.
