PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio mobile terminal by which a retrieval time of a base station of a communication destination is reduced, when the radio mobile terminal selects other base station in the case of a hand-over. SOLUTION: On the occurrence of hand-over, a radio mobile terminal receives control signals from plural base stations in existence around itself and uses an ID detection section 13 and an electric field strength measurement section 14 to detect its identification code and a reception electric field strength respectively, stores them to a storage section 16 tentatively as reception base station information and uses an object selection section 17 to update the reception base station information as object base station information, when the reception electric field strength of a base station newly received is higher than that of the preceedingly received base station. An end discrimination section 18 repeats the retrieval processing above within a prescribed time, so as to store the base station with the highest reception electric field strength as the object base station information. However, in the case that the received electric field strength is higher than a prescribed proper electric field strength, the retrieval is finished immediately and the base station with the electric field strength is selected as the communication destination base station. |
