The windscreen wiper device is of the type which has a rotating drive motor (12) and a drive head (10) on which is hinged a wiper blade, and is of the type having a coupling between the drive head (10) and the free end (28) of the motor shaft (12). The motor drive shaft (12) has a screwed end (34) and a shoulder (30) having a series of teeth spread regularly around the shoulder (30) on the shaft (12). The teeth (42) cooperate with a surface (23) formed in the head (10) of the wiper blade. The head (10) and the shaft (12) are clamped together by means of a nut (38).
