PURPOSE:To make a trunk room material soft, pliable and self-supporting to protect articles put in the trunk room by heating a not yet expanded, expandable polyolefine sheet under atmospheric pressure, laminating a coating material on one side of a obtained foam body monolithically, and forming the opposite side of the foam body by a laminated body formed into the shape which conforms to the surface to be adhered. CONSTITUTION:Pellets are supplied to a sheet forming machine to manufacture a not yet expanded, sheet-shaped expandable polyethylene sheet 8. An obtained expandable polyethylene sheet 8 is heated about two minutes to be expanded to for a foam body 3 by using a ceramic heater 9 of a vacuum forming machine with the polyethylene sheet being held from bolow by a packing material 4 consisting of PET resin nonwoven fabric and drawdown prevented. Simultaneously with expansion of the foam body 3, the foam body is pressed to form a trunk room material by a lower side press die 10 and an upper side press die 11 while a fuzzy coating material 2 consisting of PET resin nonwoven fabric is laid over the opposite side of the packing material 4 of the foam body 3. |
