METHOD FOR PROPELLING BY SHIELD JACK, AND EXCAVATING MACHINE FOR EXECUTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excavating machine which easily prevents and corrects rolling and which has a simple structure, when excavating ground by thrust of only shield jacks against a segment want assembled at the rear side of the machine body or supports, in an excavating machine such as a shield excavator or a tunnel excavator chiefly coping with a rock bed. SOLUTION: The base ends of shield jacks 11 are movably fitted to a ring girder 12 fixed along the inside peripheral want or true rear shell 3 through spherical bearings 13. Another ring girder 14 is fixed along the rear end of the inside peripheral wall. And oval holes 15 are opened in the circumferential direction at the nearby positions of the front end of the shield jacks 11 of the ring girder 14. The front ends of the shield jacks 11 at the positions corresponding to the oval holes 15 are inserted loose in the oval holes. Rolling-support jacks 18 are put between the front end of the shield jack 11 and the ring girder 14 so that the front end of the shield jack 11 can be reversely rotated against the rotary direction of the cutter disk 5.
