<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a situation where the relation between a print data and the page of a sheet is shifted even when a continuous form is used and the length of a printing sheet is not equal to integer times of the number of scans corresponding to the print resolution. SOLUTION: The printer comprises an exposing section and a host control section 47 wherein the exposing section comprises a light emitting diode and a continuous form is printed through an electrophotographic process when the print resolution is not equal to integer times of raster. The printer further comprises a horizontal synchronization signal generating circuit 49, a print data transfer circuit 52, an LED unit 15, a host control section 47, a circuit 49 generating a reference horizontal synchronization signal for timing at each scan in synchronism with a signal for timing the start of printing of each page of the print sheet generated from a sheet length information being set at a clock and the host control section 47, and a print data transfer circuit 52 for controlling the print start position constant relatively to the sheet carrying direction for each page by performing print control in synchronism with the horizontal synchronization signal.</p> |
