PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a highly water-resistant ink receptive layer by applying a liquid containing a specific hydrophilic photosensitive resin which has a photodimerized photosensitive group to a base material sheet and emitting a light to the cost to turn it to hydrogel and further, drying the hydrogel. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution containing a hydrophilic photosensitive resin with a photodimerized photosensitive group expressed by formula (in the formula, R1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aralkyl group; R2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkoxy group; X<-> is an anion such as the anion of a strong acid; Z is an atomic group forming an aromatic heterocycle containing nitrogen; m is an integer of 1-6; and n is a number of 0 or 1), is applied to a base material sheet. Next, the coat is irradiated with a light to initiate a photodimerization reaction. The coat becomes increasingly viscous and soon loses fluidity to turn to hydrogel following the progress of the photodimerization reaction. This hydrogel becomes highly water-resistant by drying it and consequently, an ink receptive layer showing a superior quality image is obtained. |
