Vacuum process to decontaminate materials holding evaporable pollutants

In a process to decontaminate substances containing an impurity, the novelty is that: (a) the pollutants and any liquid compounds are evaporated in a closed vacuum system; (b) the constituent components are evaporated simultaneously by several process stages operated in parallel; (c) the temperature, pressure and residence period are varied in each process stage in accordance with the physico-chemical parameters of the constituent concerned; (d) the process stages are operated at temperatures between 0 and 500 deg C and pressures between 0.01 and 200 mbar; (e) following each process stage, the incident gases or vapours are individually and separately exhausted and condensed in fractions.
