The guidance and planning system has a number of guidance stations (3) along roadways. The stations emit data signals that are received by the vehicles. Each vehicle has a receiver (5) and a display to show the received data. Each vehicle is fitted with a camera permanently monitoring the view ahead of the vehicle. This view information is sent by radio to the guidance stations, which process the information and compare it with itinerary information previously entered. The guidance station then superposes information that will aid the driver on the image of the road ahead, and sends this information to the vehicle for display. |
