PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional polymer having enhanced ionic conductivity, higher workability and improved synthesis capability, an ion-conductive polyelectrolyte including the polymer and a fuel cell using the polyelectrolyte. SOLUTION: This functional high polymer is synthesized by including a highly dense imido anion group derived from an hexafluoropropylene oxide additive to a fluorosulfonylacetyl fluoride derivative, which polymer is represented by the formula, where X represents a bivalent group represented by: -CO- CF(CF3 )-O-CF2 }-CFZ-SO2 - or -SO2 -CFZ- CF2 -O-CF(3 )}a -CO-, in which Z represents a fluorine atom or CF3 and (a) is an integer from one to five; Y represents an alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal, transition metal, rare earth metal, ammonium or hydrogen atom, which may be included in the same molecule in plural types; and (n) is an integer not less than two. That polymer is used for the formation of an ion-conductive polyelectrolyte that includes the polymer from 10 to 100 wt.%. The fuel cell of a proton-conductive uses the polyelectrolyte. |
