<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet waste gas desulfurizer in which a slurry absorbent entrained in a waste gas in an absorber is made to contribute effectively to the desulfurizing performance and also the arrangement of the whole desulfurizer including waste gas ducts are made compact. SOLUTION: On the upper surface of an absorber 2 on the downstream side of a slurry absorbent spray part 6 of a waste gas inlet duct of the absorber 2, a waste gas outlet duct is provided so that the flow of the waste gas is made to a U-turn and between the U-turn part and the waste gas outlet duct, mist entrained in the waste gas is captured by mist coarse trap plates 9 and a mist eliminator 5. Since a liquid material captured by the mist eliminator 5 is fed to the spray part 6 of the waste gas inlet duct for re-splashing it into the waste gas, unreacted limestone n the entrained mist is used for desulfurization to enhance the desulfurizing effect of the whole device. Moreover, the mist captured by the mist coarse trap plates 9 is re-splashed into the waste gas from the lower part of the plates and is used for the desulfurization.</p> |
