<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain such a chip card reader as to reduce mechanical load to a chip card by attaching a lower guide in a movable manner. SOLUTION: A chip card reader 2 has an opening part that stores a chip card 1. An upper guide 5 and a lower guide 6 for the card 1 are placed on a card shaft of the reader 2. Correspondence contacting parts 3 to a contacting part 4 of the card 1 are located between guide webs of the guide 5. A carriage 7 stores the card 1 and moves to a read and write position together with the card 1. In such cases, the guide 6 is attached in a movable manner. Because of this, the reader 2 has an advantage of reducing mechanical load to the card 1 through the movable lower guide 6. On the other hand, the card 1 abrades the part 3 and sometimes scratches the part 4 at the time of the movement.</p> |
