The invention pertains to a servo-actuator for a car clutch comprising, on the one hand, a longitudinally guided output member (13) for direct or indirect clutch release and, on the other hand, a worm-and-nut steering gear (12), which converts a rotational input motion into a linear motion of the output member (13), said worm-and-nut steering gear presenting a threaded spindle (14) and a threaded nut (15). In order to have a dense and compact servo-actuator so as to allow optimal use of the limited space in the vehicle, the output member is connected rotationally with the threaded spindle (14), while the threaded nut (15) is mounted fixedly in the axial direction and coupled rotationally fixed with the worm wheel of a worm gear pair. In the preferred embodiment the worm wheel is formed by the threaded nut itself (15).
