The track is for use on a bridge etc., having a concrete supporting slab (1) on whose top surface is a seal (2) preventing penetration by moisture. Above the seal is a concrete plate protecting the seal from damage, and on which the track is laid. The plate (3) is of constant thickness and extends for the entire width of the structure between lateral stops (4) formed in the concrete. Supporting ribs (5) are formed on the plate under the rails (6), which are fixed to them. Instead of a continuous rib, individual humps can be provided in a row underneath the fixing devices (7) for the respective rail. Recesses can be formed in the plate and into which pins on the sleepers are grouted, to prevent sideways movement of the latter.
