PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a drink containing a propolis extract good in dispersibility in water, effectively utilizing an active ingredient and stable with the passage of time, and further to provide a method for producing the drink. SOLUTION: This drink containing a propolis extract is obtained by adding citric acid anhydride to the propolis extract solubilized to water by keeping the solution alkaline by an aqueous alkali solution of sodium hydroxide. The propolis extract used in the drink containing the propolis extract is preferably obtained by extracting propolis parent chemical with ethanol and adding quillaia saponin and reduced starch syrup to the extract. The drink containing the propolis extract is produced by keeping the extract of propolis alkaline, adding the extract to sodium hydroxide solution of an amount sufficient to dissolve the extract and adding the citric acid anhydride to make the pH acidic. |
