PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the separation and concentration of a microorganism proliferation-promotive component intended to produce the proliferation-promotive component for e.g. lactobacillus by the use of shochu distillation residual liquor as feedstock. SOLUTION: For the purpose of obtaining a microorganism proliferation- promotive component, water is removed from shochu distillation residual liquor followed by solid-liquid separation and then addition of an organic solvent, and the resultant precipitate is separated by filtration or centrifugation; the resultant solid is dissolved in water again, and the resultant solution is treated with an ODS resin and then subjected to gel filtration, and the filtrate is concentrated or spray-dried into the objective product. |
