PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile station position estimating method in cellular mobile communication, which can easily estimate the position of a mobile station, in general cellular mobile communication in which base stations are asynchronous, and to provide a base station device and a mobile station device. SOLUTION: The mobile station device 100 converts a first peculiar signal system (PN1) from a PN1 generation part 101 into a prescribed format in a transmission signal processing part 104 and transmits it to the base station device 200 from a transmission part 105 as a position estimation reference signal. The base station device 200 transmits a second peculiar signal system (PN2) from a PN2 generation part 202 to the mobile station 100 synchronously with the first peculiar signal system (PN1) received in a reception part 206. The mobile station 100 compares the phase of the transmitted first peculiar signal system (PN1) with that of the second peculiar signal system (PN2) in a phase comparison part 108 and a phase difference is obtained. A distance calculation part 109 calculates an estimated distance between the base station 206 and the mobile station 100 based on the phase difference and estimates the position of the mobile station.
