PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal cell in which a heavy current can be taken out without increasing the thickness of a current collecting disc by laminating a number of heating elements, current collecting discs, and cells to constitute a generating unit, forming a plurality of projections on a part of the current collecting discs, and mounting a lead to each projection. SOLUTION: Four cells 1, five current collecting discs 2 and five heating elements 3 are alternately laminated to constitute a generating unit 4. The upper surfaces of the two cells 1 in the upper part are set to negative electrodes, and the upper surfaces of the two cells 1 in the lower part are set to positive electrodes. Of the current collecting discs 2, each of the top one and the bottom one has a projection 2a in one position, the central one has projection 2a in two positions, and the other two have no projection 2a. Each projection 2a is provided in a different position on the circumference, and a lead is welded and connected thereto. Thus, the current carried to each projection 2a is reduced to eliminate the danger of the projection 2a being burnt when a heavy current is taken out from the current collecting disc 2. |
