SOLUTION: In the audio device 3, an audio signal reproduced via a reproducing head 14 from a cassette tape 10 is outputted via a sound changeover circuit 4 to a speaker 5. When a sound signal is available from electric equipment for outputting the sound signal, such as a hansfree device, a navigation system, etc., the mute signal Sa from the electric equipment is received at a mute terminal M, whereas the sound changeover circuit 4 is controlled by a control part 12 to output the sound signal from the electric equipment to the speaker 5.
