The control panel is made from an open shell (10) covered by a face panel (14). Control mechanisms (16,18) are fitted inside the shell and extend to pass through openings (22,40) in the face panel. A light source (44) is mounted in the shell to illuminate chosen zones (48,52) on the face panel and chosen parts (46,50) of the controls. The light is provided from a single lamp (44) placed in a central position in the shell, and the controls are positioned radially round the light source. The preferred arrangement is three controls equally spaced round the light source. |
