PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize operation of an agitating bar and to prevent dim print from occurring without making it impossible to detect toner residual. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic printer includes an image carrying body, a toner carrier making development by sticking toner on the image carrier, a toner chamber 19 for stowing toner, a conductive area 36 formed on the inner circumferential surface of the toner chamber 19, and a high tension power source impressing the same high tension polarity as that of the toner on the conductive area 36. In this case, when the conductive area 36 is impressed with high tension of polarity same as that of the toner and the inner circumferential surface of the toner chamber 19 is charged, it deteriorates and the toner electrified with opposite polarity to that of the toner becomes the normal toner, therefore there is no chance for the normal toner to stick to the deteriorated toner. Consequently, toner can be prevented from hardening into a mass. |
