摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently suppress caramellike foaming and prevent overflow in thermal carbonization of saccharides and improve the operability, workability and productivity in thermal decomposition of the saccharides, by adding and mixing a specified amount of an oil and fat with the saccharides and thermally decomposing and dehydrating the saccharides. SOLUTION: An oil and fat, having <=200 deg.C melting point and selected from among Tempura oil, salad oil and linseed oil in an amount of 0.1-3.0 wt.% based on saccharides such as sucrose, maltose and lactose is added thereto and mixed for >=10 min to provide a mixture, which is then laminated so as to afford <=10 cm thickness, heated up to about 200 deg.C taking >=30 min, kept for >=2 hr and dehydrated and decomposed. At this time, matters to be attended are as follows: Since properties of a carbide may remarkably be modified with various kinds of trace components contained in black sugar, molasses, raw sugar, etc., the raw material should carefully be selected. When the amounts of saccharides and oil and fat to be mixed are small, both are mixed with a stirrer. When the amounts are increased, a kneading apparatus having a large torque such as a kneader is used.
