<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a packing in the clearance between flanges correctly. SOLUTION: Collars 9 are installed at plural positions on the outer peripheral surface of a packing 6. The length of the collars 9 is set to fit the outer ends of the collars 9 to the outer peripheral surfaces of flanges 3 and 4, when the packing 6 is set at the centers of the flanges 3 and 4. The packing 6 is inserted between the flanges 3 and 4, and the packing 6 is set correctly at the centers of the flanges 3 and 4, by fitting the outer ends of the collars 9 to the outer peripheral surfaces of the flanges 3 and 4. When the packing 6 is set, the flanges 3 and 4 are fastened by a fastening bolt 7 and a nut 8, so as to fix the packing 6, and after that, the collars 9 are pulled out to cut at the cutting lines 10 or at the slits 12.</p> |
