PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To scan a carriage smoothly and make dots small in diameter or multigradational, etc., i.e., enhance record accuracy, by constituting a press member set at the carriage not to press a guide member in an area excluding a predetermined area of a reciprocating scan area of the carriage. SOLUTION: A slide face 585 of an adjusting lever 581 butts to a guide rail 82 because of a weight of a carriage 50 and a recording head in a recording scan area of a carriage part, so that the carriage 50 is positioned. Moreover, a butting part 582a of a press lever 582 hits a stopper part 581a of the adjusting lever 581. Therefore a press force by the press lever 582 does not act to the guide rail 82. No torsion acts to the carriage 50, enabling the carriage to scan smoothly. Since a slide load of the carriage 50 is reduced, a mechanism related to the reciprocating scan of the carriage 50 is improved in durability. |
