The suspension for a freely rotating wheel enables the absorption of the weight of the load added by shocks subjected to by the device when the vehicle is pushed or pulled. The suspension comprises several pairs of curved flexible elements (2,3,4,5,6,7) arranged around the wheel axis (8,9) and assembled at the top to a pivot support (1). When the assembly pivots by 180<o>, the vehicle making an inverse movement, the element (2,5) absorbs the force of the movement.
