PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid communication channel via a protocol converter from being remote and long by selecting a protocol converter of an exchange station containing the user, when the exchange station accommodating the user is moved due to the movement of the user. SOLUTION: When a data terminal (PC) 503 which uses an adaptor (ADP) 502, a mobile set(MS) 501, and uses a protocol converter (IWF) 102 under the control of a mobile exchange (MSC) 101 via a base station 103 for making communication with a terminal connected to a public line network (PSTN) 600 is moved to an area managed by an MSC 201, the MS 501 is connected to a transmission line to the MSC 201, via a base station 203 resulting from the movement. In this case, the IWF 102 uses an IWF 202 under the control of the MSC 201. Thus, the transmission efficiency is improved by minimizing a delay time at a protocol end point of the MS 501 and the IWF. |
