PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of labor, cost and environment accompanied by using an aqueous alkaline developing soln. without necessitating a chemical treatment by providing a printing face comprising a zirconia alloy ceramics having specified density. SOLUTION: A flexible lithographic printing tape 10 is an alloy with a secondary oxide selected from a group composed of ZrO2 , MgO, rare earth oxides, etc., and optional combination of them and has a printing surface 30 composed of a zirconia alloy ceramics having density of 5.6-6.2 g/cm<2> and this tape 10 has an average thickness of <5 mm. The image-like exposure of this tape 10 converts its ceramic face from a hydrophilic state into a lipophilic state or is conducted by using laser beams adjusting the focus converting from a lipophilic state into a hydrophilic state. Based on the exposure by using the laser beams, the image is directly formed on the printing tape by using digital data without needing any intermediate film and a conventional optical image formation process taking a long time. |
