FIELD: metallurgy, namely rolled stock production, for example manufacture of blanks for steel rivets. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating ingot from 880+-30C for 5.0-6.5 hours until 1290+-20 C, soaking at that temperature before discharging ingots from furnace, rolling ingots for producing intermediate cross section pieces at single reductions 16-20% up to total reduction 57-64 % according to next schedule. Until reduction 48-50% ingot is reduced in conditions of free widening at its one side; until reduction 37-40% ingot is reduced in roll grooved pass and until reduction 50-52% - in conditions of free widening at other side, subsequently both sides of ingot are rolled in roll grooved pass and rolling is terminated at least at 1130 C with intermediate cross section up to total reduction 57-64%. Then billet is rolled at single reductions 10-12% until total reduction 81-85% and rolling is terminated with that cross section at least at 1070 C. Further billet is finally rolled at single reductions 6-9% until total reduction 90-92% for terminating rolling process by objective size at least at 1000 C. Method allows to increase yield by 1,1-1,12 times, to decrease metal consumption by 17-20 kg per ton of metal yield. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 tbl |
