PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image receiving paper to be free from its curling under the adverse effect of temperature and humidity by forming a receptive layer composed of a powder coating composition containing a resin component as a first resin layer on the surface of a base paper and at the same time, forming a second resin layer on the back face of the base paper. SOLUTION: A first resin layer composed of a powder coating composition as a coating or ink receptive layer is formed on the surface of a base paper, and at the same time, a second resin layer is formed on the back face of the base paper. The powder coating composition contains a resin component which serves as a binding resin for binding various components of the powder coating composition into powder and also forms the receptive layer as a coating for enabling an image to be thermally transferred and recorded on an image receiving paper. This resin component is such as saturated polyester resin, vinyl chloride.vinly acetate copolymer resin and styrene.acryl copolymer resin. Thus the degree of the expansion or shrinkage of both front and back faces under the adverse effect of temperature or humidity is almost identical and therefore, the image receiving paper is prevented from becoming curled. |
