METHOD FOR DECOMPOSITION WITH MICROBE AND METHOD FOR RESTORING ENVIRONMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate the adverse effect of a produced oxide upon bacteria by decomposing an organic chlorocompound and an aromatic compound with microbes using an antioxidant. SOLUTION: When a medium contaminated in an aromatic compound and an organic chlorine compound is restored and cleaned by bringing it into contact with biodegrading bacteria, the medium contaminated by the aromatic compound and the organic chlorine compound is effectively restored by continuously keeping the proliferation activity and the biodegradation activity of biodegrading bacteria with the help of an antioxidant added. That is, the antioxidant is added to trap an oxide such as epoxide produced and freed in a cell by biodegradation of the aromatic compound and the organic chlorine compound. Thus it is possible to control and mitigate the irreversible metabolism of nucleic acid and protein in the cell.
