The plate comprises core layers (2) and at least one cover layer which is at least double-layered. The outer layer (4) of the cover layer (3) has holes (6) and the lower layer (5) is pressed into the holes in a deep-drawn manner. Each layer of the cover layer may consist of metallic material, in the form of a foil which is approximately 150 mu m thick. The visible layer of the cover layer may be coated on its rear side with metal adhesive and pressed together with the adjacent lower layer of the cover layer and with the core layers. The upper surface of the visible layer may be coated with protective paint. The cover layer may be arranged on both sides of the plate.
