<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator for a generator and a nonlinear filter method, by which the switching frequency of an output control signal can be regulated and the accuracy of the steady state of the generator can be maintained. SOLUTION: In a voltage regulator, a linear filter 2, a comparator 3 and an expansion filter 4 are connected to each other with a cascade connection between the input terminal I1 and output terminal O1 of the regulator 1. The input terminal I1 receives an error signal ERR which is converted into a square wave error signal ERRq by the comparator 3 and, furthermore, the output terminal O1 supplies a square wave output control signal Sout which has an expanded duty cycle in relation to the square wave error signal EERq by the time delay introduced from the expansion filter 4. A nonlinear filter section 5 for the error signal is connected between the input terminal of the regulator and the linear filter. By comparing with the 1st and 2nd values X1 and X2 of the error signal, a gain is regulated.</p> |
