Device capable of handling materials such as sand, sawdust or special absorbent materials used to collect pet excreta. By means of just the actuation of a switch, the apparatus presented deposits the soiled material in a container arranged for this purpose inside it and collects, from a store which is also on the inside, new, clean material to be placed on a platform for subsequent use. This sequence of movements which may be repeated a specific number of times takes place without releasing odours or raising dust. Used correctly, its components will require no cleaning since the apparatus is also self- sufficient in this aspect. <IMAGE>
