The windscreen wiper device is of the type which has a rotating drive motor (12) and a drive head (10) on which is hinged a wiper blade, and is of the type having a coupling between the drive head (10) and the free end (28) of the motor shaft (12). The screwed end of the shaft end (28) is placed in a location (22,24) formed in the drive head (10) which has connection elements cooperating with serrated teeth (42) on a shoulder (30) of the motor shaft (12). The wiper blade is clamped to the shaft by a nut (38). The shoulder (23) in the head (10) cooperates with the teeth (42) on the motor shaft so as to define a precise axial position of the drive head with respect to the motor shaft (12).
