PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aluminum article with a rib of a T-shaped joint structure without having a fault on the joining part and with excellent strength by utilizing a friction stirring welding. SOLUTION: In the time of producing an aluminum article with a rib, a leg part 14a of a rib 14 on the side to be joined to a plate like part 12a is composed in a fan like spreading shape inclined at an angle of 30 deg. to 80o to the plate face of the plate like part, the width L of the top end part of the leg part of the fan like spreading shape of the rib, the interval W between the top end part of the leg part of the fan like spreading shape and a pin 18, the pin projecting depth h in the rib, and the thickness t of the plate like part are satisfied with the equations, 0.1 mm<=W<=2.0 mm, W<=0.25 L, 0.1 mm<=h<=2 t, and friction stirring welding is executed. |
