摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase transition type optical recording medium having good recording and erasing characteristics and rewriting durability. SOLUTION: A polycarbonate substrate 3 formed with lands 1 and grooves 2 to the same width is manufactured by an injection and compression molding method. A first enhancement film 4 consisting of a ZnS-SiO2 (mixture composed of ZnS and SiO2 ) of 80 nm in film thickness, a recording film 5 consisting of a Ge21 Sb24 Te55 film of 20 nm in film thickness, a recording film 5 consisting of Ge21 Sb24 Te55 of 20 nm in film thickness, a second enhancement film 6 consisting of ZnS-SiO2 of 25 nm in film thickness, an Si reflection film 7 of 80 nm in film thickness and an aluminum reflection film 8 of 100 nm in film thickness are laminated in this order on the signal recording surface of this substrate 3. The respective films are covered with a UV curing resin protective film 9. The oxygen content in this Si reflection film 7 is regulated to <=1 atm.%.
