PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a deviation in the relative position between a toner carrier and an electrophotographic photoreceptor by configuring such that the toner carrier is pressed toward the center of the rotation of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, when a driving force is transmitted to the toner carrier. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic image forming device is constituted so that engagement pressure when the roller gear 40B of a developing roller 21BS is engaged with a black developing unit driving gear 18B, to receive rotational driving force is in a direction nearly parallel with a line that links the centers of a photoreceptive drum 15 and the developing roller 21BS. Thus, when the roller gear 40B receives the driving force from the black developing unit driving gear 18B, engagement force F1 is exerted on the roller gear 40B. The developing roller 21BS also receives force F2 being in parallel with the engagement force F1 and toward the center of the rotation of the drum 15, by the engagement force F1, to rotate while being pressed toward the center of the rotation of the photoreceptive drum with a gap roller. Therefore, the occurrence of a position deviation, that is, the torsional states of the axis lines of the developing roller 21BS and the drum 15 is prevented. |
