The post has a plate (1) fixed to the ground and two sections of tube (2, 3). The first section is joined to the plate by an axis and can rotate around this axis by 90 degrees. The second section is joined to the first by a hinge (5) and can rotate on the hinge by 180 degrees. In the vertical position, the two tubes are side by side and are locked in position by a bolt. When this us unlocked, the section of the tube which is not joined to the plate is extended until it is aligned with the first section. The whole tube is then rotated by 90 degrees around the axis on the plate. The post can then be lowered, allowing access.
