Plastics film, esp. polyolefin film, has two embossed patterns applied to opposing sides of the film. The pattern applied to one side has a relatively coarse structure which e.g. resembles that of linen, and the second pattern on the opposite side has a relatively fine structure to impart a matt appearance to the film.
