An energy saving air-conditioning system which is capable of increasing the regenerative air heating capability of a heat pump and the processed air cooling capability (latent heat processing capability), and which has a high dehumidifying and sensible heat processing capabilities. Specifically, an air-conditioning system provided with a desiccant (103) for adsorbing thereto the water in the air to be processed, a compressor (260), and a heat pump (200) operated with the processed air and regenerated air used as a low heat source (240) and a high heat source (220) respectively, and supplying desiccant regenerating heat to the regenerated air , wherein a high heat source heat exchanger adapted to exchange heat thereof with that of the regenerated air not yet used to regenerate the desiccant is divided into a plurality of sections (220A, 220B, 220C, 220D) in the direction of the flow of the air so that the order in which the air passes through these sections and that in which a refrigerant passes through these sections are opposite to each other, whereby the refrigerant condensed by the heat pump is further cooled. |
