PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively manufacture a crank pulley by press working by providing a crank pulley provided with an engagement pawl which is possible to be engaged to a dog oppositely to a recoil starter provided with the dog to be moved by a starting operation, bending the engagement pawl to a rough L-shape and projectingly providing the engagement pawl on the antiengine side. SOLUTION: When a rope 3 is pulled via a handle 2 provided on a recoil starter 1, a dog 4 is moved to the axial engine side and is engaged to an engagement pawl 12 of a crank pulley 10 mounted on the crankshaft of the engine, and the engine is actuated by revolving the crank pulley 10 in the actuating direction. When the rope 3 is loosened, the dog 4 returns to the axial antiengine side, revolving in the reverse direction by an action of a power spring. At this time, the crank pulley 10 is formed into a rough cup shape and a roughly reverse L-shaped engagement pawl 12 which is projected from a flange 11 provided on the opening part to the engine side is formed from a blanked surface of steel plate. The external angles of the angular part and bending part on the plate thickness direction antiengine side of an engagement end face 14 is formed into a curved or chamfered shape. |
