PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an engineering plastic to be thermally fusion-bonded tightly with an elastomer by coating an elastomer layer composed of a mixture of a specific styrene block copolymer and polystyrene and a specific ethylene copolymer on an engineering plastic layer. SOLUTION: A styrene.ethylene.propylene.styrene block copolymer(SEPS) is selected as an elastomer layer to be coated on an engineering plastic layer, and polystyrene (PS) is added in order to further improve the thermal fusion- bonding properties of (SEPS). The content of PS to be added is 20-60 pts.wt. for 100 pts.wt. of SEPS. Addition of the PS to the SEPS causes the generation of irregularities on the surface of moldings. Therefore, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) and/or an ethylene-ethylacrylate copolymer (EEA) are added as a compatible modifying means. The content of the EVA and/or the EEA to be added is routinely 10-20 pts.wt. for 100 pts.wt. of the SEPS. |
