PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the reutilizing of existing ballast, obtain a solid structural body integrally bonded with the entire part of a ballast track and to improve strength by kneading aggregate consisting of large aggregate of the ballast and small aggregate consisting of small crushed stones, sand and soil, crushed sand, etc., and foamed asphalt molded to a foam state. SOLUTION: The existing ballast 11 taken out by removing rails 6 and sleepers 2 is subjected to a grain size adjustment to 60 to 80% large aggregate ofι19 mm in grain size and the small aggregate consisting of 10 to 20 wt.% small crushed stones of <=19 mm in grain size and 5 to 15 wt.% sand and soil or crushed stones and thereafter, the aggregate is so adjusted that the moisture content attains 4 to 9%, by which the aggregate is obtd. Next, a material 7 for the track obtd. by mixing the foamed asphalt in the foam state obtained by heating 4 to 7 wt.% asphalt and water to 160 to 180 deg.C and mixing the mixture in a mix chamber and the aggregate in a mixer 12 is carried into the part of the track to be newly installed and is laid and leveled off to a prescribed thickness. The material is then compacted by a rolling machine, such as road roller.
