PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for laser recording in a heat mode suitable for formation of a halftone image color proofing without image defect with high resolution, and an apparatus used therefor. SOLUTION: To oppose and bring an image forming layer of a recording material 5 having the layer melt transferred with laser beam converted to heat by photothermal conversion substance to and into contact with an image receiving layer of an image receiving element 4 and laser expose it, it is laser exposed via the member 2 for transmitting the laser beam. The apparatus therefor comprises at least a cylindrical member 3 for supporting the material 5 and a laser exposure system 1, a member 2 for transmitting the beam at a position in an optical path of the beam and means for pressing the laser beam transmitting member 2 to the cylindrical member at the time of the exposure. |
