PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP address automatic setting system for a vehicle LAN terminal that assigns an IP address with a designated valid period to pluralities of LAN terminals based on an on-track time in response to requests from pluralities of the LAN terminals. SOLUTION: In this system, a mobile station 10 that is a rolling stock provided with an in-rolling stock LAN system and a ground station 30 having a DHCP server 43 that manage an IP address of pluralities of LAN terminals 12 being components of the in-rolling stock LAN system, and a TTCS 42 that manages an operating state including an on-track time of a train are connected by a radio channel. Then the DHCP server 43 of the ground station 30 sets an IP address with a designated address valid period (IP address lease time) based on an IP address setting request from pluralities of the LAN terminals in the mobile station and informs the IP address to pluralities of the LAN terminals.
