<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the collation of stable accuracy without receiving influence from the variation of how iris granules looks depending on the photographing angle of the iris granule in a three-dimensional shape by extracting the feature of the image of the iris granules and sorting outputted iris granule data by each photographing angle, thereby registering them. SOLUTION: This system consists of an eye area image pickup part 1, a photographing angle deciding part 2, an iris granule segmenting part 3, a feature extracting part 4, a dictionary selecting part 5, a difference calculating and collating part 6, an identifying result output part 7, a dictionary registering part 8 and a dictionary storing part 9. The part 1 photographs an animal's eye with a camera to obtain its image. The part 2 decides the photographing angle of the camera with respect to the eye at the time of photographing. The part 4 extracts the feature of the image of the iris granules from the output of the part 1. The part 9 sorts iris granule data outputted by the part 4 into each photographing angle and registers them. Then, at the time of collating, this device selects a dictionary near the same photographing angle and collates it.</p> |
