<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge withstanding power by attaining a structure for which the dimension of a dielectric is made larger than the dimension of both ends of a ferrite for a specified value. SOLUTION: When the wavelength of the free space of the using frequency band of this circulator is defined asλ, the dimension of the dielectric 3 is made larger than the dimension of both ends of the ferritce 2 for more than 0.1λto less than 0.3λ. Since the withstanding power of the circulator is decided by the creepage distance of the ferrite 2 and the dielectric 3, by attaining such a structure, the creepage distance is turned to the creepage of the ferrite 2 plus the creepage of the dielectric 3. That is, the creepage distance is prolonged for 2×(more than 0.1λto less than 0.3λ) at both ends of the ferrite 2. Thus, in the case that a frequency is specially raised, a waveguide dimension is reduced and the size of the circulator is limited, the withstanding power is enlarged.</p> |
