PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multibeam helical scanning X-ray image pickup device capable of picking up a three-dimensional X-ray image with a high SN ratio in a short time. SOLUTION: For an X-ray image pickup device, targets 12A, 12B for a rotary anode 12 from which X-rays with substatially equal energy are radiated are used to pick up plural sectional images from plural beams at the same time. In this way, the ratio of sin anglesθ1,θ2 between two targets is selected to be equal to the square root ratio of the orbital radii of the electron beams, so that the same X-ray radiation dose can be obtained. A pair of slits 16, (22) are moved in synchronization with scanning to achieve multibeam scanning.
